Said the holy Bardichever, that before Kedushe we say that Hashem has three Holinesses; two he gives to us, and one he keeps for himself. And he says a Mashul: Somebody once came to a king that had three crowns, and the king gave two of his crowns to his son. And he asked him "why are you giving two to your son?" And he said "Look, everybody knows that I'm covered with one, but my son has two; and what are those two crowns? One is mercy, and one is his ability to limit that mercy and take responsibility, that he accepts consequences in order to learn… Today.
